Cookies are small text files that websites save on a visitor’s device in order to remember certain information. Alongside cookies, sites may use similar technologies such as the browser’s local storage.
This site uses technical cookies, necessary for it to work, and statistics cookies, which are activated only if you choose to consent. Until you make a choice, no third-party script is run and no optional cookie is installed. You can change your mind at any time.
On your first visit a banner appears with three options: accept all, reject all or customise your choice category by category. Accepting and rejecting take the same number of clicks and have the same visual prominence: neither option is made easier than the other.
Blocking happens before the fact, not after. Analytics scripts are sent to the browser already disabled and are only activated after explicit consent: before that moment no data reaches third parties. If you close the banner without choosing, nothing is activated.
Your choice is kept for 180 days, after which you are asked again. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, it is automatically interpreted as a refusal. So that consent can be demonstrated, as Article 7 GDPR requires, the date, the choice made and the version of this notice are recorded: the IP address is not kept, only an irreversible transformation of it.
This table is generated automatically from the configuration in use on the site: it lists the active categories and the services each one covers.
| Category | Purpose | Services and cookies | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | They make the site work: session, security, and storing the choices you make about cookies. They cannot be switched off and do not require consent. |

| Statistics | They help us understand how the site is used, through third-party analytics tools such as Google Analytics. |

These are essential for browsing, for security and for submitting the contact forms. Without them some functions of the site would not work correctly. For this category the law does not require consent.

They help understand how the site is used. They stay inactive until you accept them and you can withdraw them at any time. Refusing them does not limit browsing or access to content in any way.

The site also uses a custom-built measurement tool that installs no cookies and stores no IP addresses. To estimate how many people visit the site, the IP address is turned into a code using a hash function, together with a secret value that changes every day and is never stored. After twenty-four hours it is therefore impossible to trace that data back to a person, even with access to the database.
The information collected is the page visited, where you came from, and the device and browser type: aggregate data that does not allow anyone to be identified. Since the processing involves neither accessing nor storing information on your device, it does not require consent; it is documented here for transparency all the same.
Some components of the site are loaded from external servers. Even when they install no cookies, these services necessarily receive the visitor’s IP address, since it is a technical detail without which the connection cannot be established.

For transparency, here is what is not used:
If embedded content or advertising tools are introduced in future, the banner will show the relevant categories and this notice will be updated before they are activated.
You can reopen the preferences panel whenever you like, from the button below or from the icon that is always present at the bottom left of every page.
Alternatively you can block or delete cookies from your browser settings. Bear in mind that disabling technical cookies can break the site, in particular form submission.
To find out how the data you send through the contact forms is processed, what the legal bases are and how to exercise your rights, see the privacy policy.
